For the mechanical finishing as well as the assembly of the components, we cooperate with our partner company August Manser AG. The very modern machinery with several CNC turning and milling centers enables August Manser AG to finish off the additive manufactured components high-precisely. Due to the geographic proximity there won’t be any long transport routes. To be internationally competitive in the longer term the swiss industrial companies must think and react more frequently in a networked/linked way. Especially in the field of mechatronics, due to the interdisciplinarity, an actively exchange is necessary in order to generate innovations and to efficiently benefit from those innovations.

In this context the institute for Mechatronic Systems of ZHWA has taken the initiative and together with industrial partners and other universities brought to live the superregional/national mechatronic cluster Swiss Mechatronics together with industrial partners and other universities and colleges.
